BACKGROUND
Dr. Zohra is a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in evidence-based treatments for children and adolescents with anxiety, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and emotional sensitivity. Trained by leading child and adolescent psychologists and psychiatrists nationwide, she now trains and supervises clinicians in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and PCIT Adapted for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM). Dr. Zohra’s contributions to the field also include presenting at national conferences and co-authoring chapters on family-based therapy and selective mutism. Her work is driven by a passion for providing expert support, when and how families need it most.

Steven Kurtz, PhD, ABPP

BACKGROUND
Dr. Kurtz is an internationally recognized licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in behavioral and anxiety disorders in children. He is one of only 21 Certified Global Trainers in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and has pioneered innovative treatments, including the groundbreaking Brave Buddies Program for SM. With years of experience in prominent leadership roles at institutions like NYU’s Child Study Center and the Child Mind Institute, Dr. Kurtz brings invaluable insight and a deep commitment to advancing effective therapies for children worldwide.

Nicole Doctoroff, BA

BACKGROUND
Nicole is a graduate-level trainee and Extern Therapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety, ADHD, and disruptive behavior disorders. She graduated from the University of Michigan as a Psychology major with a minor in Community Action and Social Change, and she is currently a third-year PhD student in the School Psychology program at Fordham University. With extensive experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and serving as a Counselor in our Mighty Mouth Kids (MMK) programs, Nicole brings a thoughtful and evidence-based approach to her work with children, families, and schools, blending practical experience with research-driven insights. She is also currently working towards her certification as a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and PCIT Adapted for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM) Therapist under the direct supervision of Dr. Zohra and Dr. Kurtz.

Casey is a graduate-level trainee and Extern Therapist specializing in the treatment of anxiety and disruptive behavior disorders. She graduated magna cum laude from New York University (NYU) as an Applied Psychology major, with a double major in French & Linguistics. With extensive experience as a Counselor in our Mighty Mouth Kids (MMK) programs and research experience on therapeutic techniques for communication difficulties, Casey brings an incredibly unique and thoughtful approach to her work with children, families, and schools. She is also currently working towards her certification as a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and PCIT Adapted for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM) Therapist under the direct supervision of Dr. Zohra and Dr. Kurtz.

BACKGROUND
Clare graduated magna cum laude from New York University (NYU) as a Psychology major with a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies. As an advanced undergraduate-level trainee, she has completed intensive training and received extensive supervision in working with children with selective mutism. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Clare also serves as a senior Counselor for our Mighty Mouth Kids (MMK) programs.
