WEEKLY BRAVE PRACTICE FOR CHILDREN (AGES 3 TO 6)

“LittleS” Group

Targeted exposure practice. Real-world speaking goals. Support that feels like play.

A Weekly Therapy Group Built for Brave Beginnings

Our “Littles” Group is a 90-minute, in-person behavioral therapy group for preschool and early elementary school children with selective mutism or social anxiety.

Each week, children practice speaking in settings that mirror real life — circle time, classroom routines, birthday parties, and peer play. Sessions are playful and warm, but the goals are serious: more independent speech, stronger peer engagement, and greater confidence using their voice.

Brave Steps We Practice Each week

Approaching instead of avoiding

Joining in, moving towards peers, and raising a hand — even when it feels hard. Taking small supported risks instead of hanging back or waiting to be called on. Learning that discomfort is temporary — and that brave action builds confidence.

speaking with clear, confident voices

Looking up, using names, and speaking loud enough to be heard. Practicing voice strength in both small groups and larger circle times. Experiencing what it feels like to let your voice take up space.

Peer to Peer engagement

Answering questions, sharing ideas, and staying in the back-and-forth of conversation. Starting interactions instead of waiting for others to lead. Building the skills — and confidence — to connect with peers more independently.

More independent verbalizations

Using fuller sentences and spontaneous speech across activities. Speaking without relying on a Counselor or familiar adult as a bridge. Practicing assertive communication in moments that truly matter.

Tuesdays ◼︎ 4:30 - 6:00 PM ◼︎ $300 per SeSSion
